Meet Kara

For as long as I can remember, I knew that I wanted to be a writer. I have spent the majority of my life studying the art of storytelling. In 2010, I was accepted into Nashville School of the Arts as a Mass Media student. During my time at NSA, I was involved in the production of the department's television drama, Cracks in the Wall, where I learned how to write for television and how to use Final Cut Pro software.

I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with B.S. in Journalism. During my time at MTSU, I completed coursework in business communication, digital media skills, interactive media writing, photography, editing and reporting. I also published several stories for the lifestyle and news sections of the student newspaper Sidelines. After graduation, I plan to utilize my wide range of skills to pursue a career as a multimedia journalist.

In my spare time, I enjoy writing short fiction and poetry, going on exciting new adventures with friends and spending time with my two cats, Binx and Onyx. I also fill my personal time indulging in a wide range of hobbies and crafts including knitting, crocheting, embroidery, painting and drawing.
